Racine – Audrey June (nee, Garot) Saucier, 87, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Friday, January 14, 2011.Audrey was born in Racine on May 12, 1923 to Francois and Mathilda (nee, VanDerske) Garot. Audrey married Joseph Saucier, Jr., who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School. Audrey was employed by Racine County Department of Human Services until her retirement in 1986.Audrey is survived by her son, Dennis (Jacqueline) Hansen; granddaughters, Lynne (Joseph) Hansen Ticer and April Hansen; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Hansen, Hannah Lauryn Hansen, Eric Nathaniel Hansen and Joseph Dennis Ticer, IV. Audrey is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, David Bruce Hansen; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Hansen; her parents; sisters, Germaine Garot, Elizabeth "Betty" Dean, Lucille Filicetti, Marjorie "Marge" Harrison and Janet Roth; and her brother, Robert Garot.A visitation for Audrey will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff's at St. Monica's and Ridgewood Care Center for all of their compassionate care shown to Audrey.
