Racine – Audrey Jean (nee, Manthey) Bleeke, 85, after a full and very happy life, was born to eternal life by God's grace through Jesus Christ our Savior on Friday, January 9, 2015.Audrey was born in Milwaukee on November 8, 1929 to Louis E. and Sylvia G. (nee, Wagner) Manthey. She married John H. Bleeke on June 22, 1952. Blessed with three children, Anne (Jim) Wills, Amy (Jim) Lesnjak and Jonathan (Nancy) Bleeke; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Rahardt, Corliss Bleeke and Florence Bleeke; a nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Richard Bleeke and Milton Bleeke; and her nephew and godson, Joel Bleeke.Audrey served as a teacher at Redeemer Lutheran School in Denver, CO, and at Trinity and St. John's Lutheran Schools in Racine. Among her activities beyond those of teacher and caring mother, she served 25 years as a member of the LHS Guild and 30 years in St. John's Church choir.Funeral Services for Audrey will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, corner of Kewaunee and Erie Streets, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11: 30 a.m. with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
