RACINE – Artine M. Tanielian, 88, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Friday, March 25, 2016. Artine was born in Beirut, Lebanon on December 17, 1927 to Mkrditch and Mariam (nee, DerMesropian) Tanielian. In December 1956, Artine married the former Gulkhater Tachdjian in Lebanon, before moving to Racine. He retired from Interlake. Survivors include his children, Ani (Vahe) Tachdjian, Silva Tanielian and Haik Tanielian; grandchildren, Pierre (Christina) Tachdjian, Natalie Tachdjian and Sarkis Tachdjian; great grandchildren, Nicholas Tachdjian and Noah Tachdjian; and his sister, Mary Chardukian. Artine is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Artine will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Yeprem Kelegian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m.
