Anthony W. Smilko
Caledonia- Anthony W. Smilko, 78, passed away at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Tony was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1947 to Anthony and Violet (nee: Solven) Smilko. He served in the United States Navy. Tony was a proud family man. He cherished the time spent with his family. He was a social butterfly and the life of the party. Tony was an easy going and gentle man. He was a fan of Marvel and Disney Villans. Tony enjoyed the time he spent with his SCI Rehab Group competing in the wheelchair games. He was able to go with the group to New Orleans, which was made possible by Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). Tony was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and Blues & Jazz music. He loved playing board games, assembling Lego kits and going to movies.
He is survived by his wife Linda Smilko, children Desiree (Joe)Stopczynski, Kristopher (Becky) Smilko, Ryan (Katy) Smilko and Alec (Torri) Smilko, Step Children Kathy (Don) Schoen, Stephanie (Al) Sanders and Dale Babock, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nephew Ross Smilko, brother in law David (Ingrid) Lemanczyk and sister in law Lucy (Gustavo) Dominguez. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, brother and 2 sisters. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
