RACINE – Anthony W. "Tony" Needham, 70, passed away at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Tony was born in Lincolnshire, England on April 27, 1944, to John and Olive Needham. In 1972, Tony married the former May Ross. After serving in the British Army, Tony worked as a firefighter in Northern Ireland before moving to the United States. Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years with Western Publishing Company. Tony was great with kids and especially loved spending time with his grandson, and his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife, May Needham; son, Robert (Aleksandra) Needham; grandson, Matthew Needham; and his brothers, John (Chris) Needham and Terry (Kim) Needham. Tony is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends in both America and England. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Tony will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 40 South Ohio Street, on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
