Annie Verikas-SandbomMilwaukee- Annie Verikas-Sandbom 52 passed peacefully to eternal life on March 1, 2011 after a battle with illness. Family members were at her side when she passed. She was born in Racine, WI on April 1st, 1958. Annie was manager at Barneks in West Allis, WI. Annie loved her family and friends and all children. She enjoyed music, cooking, bowling and quietly reading. She is at peace now with our Lord Jesus Christ.She is lovingly survived by her husband Robert Sandbom of El Centro, CA; parents Aleks and Elisabeth Verikas of Racine, WI; brothers, Peter (Mary)Verikas of Pocatello, ID. Raymond (Tammy) Verikas of Racine, WI, John (Michelle) Verikas of Racine, WI; and sister Elana (Robert) Tarwid of Racine, WI. ; Nephews, Eric Verikas, Justin Richardson, Alex Verikas, John Verikas Jr., Joseph Verikas and Raymond Chavez; and nieces Sharon Verikas, Melanie Verikas, Alicia Verikas, and Tiah Verikas. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and friends.Funeral services for Annie will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
