Anna Eber Racine - Anna Eber, 96, passed away under the loving care of her daughter on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Anna was born in Czechoslovakia on May 28, 1911 to Andrew and Anna (nee, Hamborsky) Gluch. She was a year old when she came to Racine living here all her life. Anna married Henry Eber on January 26, 1934, celebrating 67 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2001. Anna worked for J.I. Case Company during the war years, and at Badger Shirt Company for ten years in order to give her children a Christian education. She was a former member of the Golden Sunshine Club at Lakeview and is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.Anna is survived by her children, David (Susan) Eber and Elizabeth Meyer; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Theresa Rivers) Meyer, Kerry Meyer, Ken Meyer, Todd (Linda) Eber, Sandra (Eric) Brekke, Teresa (William) Lee and Alan (Laura) Eber; seventeen great-grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Alvarez, Samantha, Brittney and Kenny Meyer, Aaron Meyer, Kylie Rivers-Meyer, Lucas, Annie, Maddie and Michael Eber, Andrew, Hannah and Sara Brekke, Tyler and Addie Lee, and David and Marcus Eber; great-great-grandson, Jeffrey Joseph Alvarez; and sister, Marjorie Lambrect. Anna is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Gluch. Funeral services for Anna will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 4 p.m. Private family interment will take place in Mound Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
