Obituary
Racine- Alma M. Niebuhr, 94 passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at Pleasant Point Senior Living.
She was born in Chicago on October 15, 1929 to the late Joseph and Marie (nee: Bouchard) Monday. She grew up in Chicago with her Mother, Father and 7 sibilings . She enjoyed spending summer vacations wth her family at Bangs Lake in Wauconda, IL She loved spending time outdorrs swimming and sailing.. Her father and brothers built several family homes on the lake, where several siblings continued to live much of their lives.
Alma was united in marriage to Orlando J. Niebuhr in Chicago on October 31, 1955. Sadly, he passed away on December 8, 2002. Alma was a dedicated wife, mother to 5 children,and homemaker. She enjoyed taking rides by the lake, playing cards with her family and friends, playing bingo, gardening and making crafts.
Alma is survived by her five children, Donnie (Sally) Niebuhr, Doug (Maxine) Niebuhr, Mark (Lellet) Niebuhr, Mike (Kristen Lance) Niebuhr and Sue (Jeff) Totka; her grandchildren Kelsey LaCroix, Renny Niebuhr, Rylie Niebuhr, Alexandria Niebuhr, Taylor Totka and Ryan Totka. She is further survived by her sister Patricia (Gene) Jaskot and loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers Tom, Lawrence, Joseph and David Monday and her sisters Mary Booth and Florence Kamradt.
Funeral services for Alma were held privately.
