Racine – Alice Meissner (nee,Flegel) age 90, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, October 7, 2012. Alice was born in Racine on December 24, 1921, daughter of the late Frederick and Mable (nee, Bramow) Flegel. She was united in marriage to Wendell Meissner, May 2, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1969 and her son Paul Meissner preceded her in death on August 2, 2007. Alice was a wonderful homemaker and loved working in her garden. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Holman; grandchildren, David (Jen) Lott and Kendra (Tony) Julius; great grandchildren, Diona and Joshua Julius. You don't choose your family; they are God's gift to you, as you are to them. Private family services will be held. Inurnment will take place at Mound Cemetery.
