Alice F. Larson Racine - Alice F. Larson, 91, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints on Monday, October 4, 2010. Alice was born in Racine on October 19, 1918 to John and Frances (nee, Jirus) Veirauch. She married Lloyd Larson on January 31, 1942. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1987. Alice was a lifelong member of the Sokol Mladochek club and the Sewing club. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her many friends at the Parkview. Alice also volunteered for the Red Cross for many years and was an avid Packer fan. Alice is survived by her children, Lloyd (Edith) "Skip & Dedi" Larson and Barbara Baer; grandchildren, Kristine (Steve) Schwaab, Glenn Larson, David Larson, Michelle (Mark) Hinrichs and Patty Cacciotti; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Abbey Schwaab, and Benjamin Hinrichs. Alice is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Frank Veirauch and Jerry Veirauch. Funeral services for Alice will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 3 p.m. with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Interment will take place at Hermatite Township Cemetery in Amasa, MI. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the Amasa Fire Department. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of Alice's friends at the Parkview for all of their friendship and to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints for all of their compassionate care.
