Racine – Alexis Rose Lopez-Brandies, 14, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013. Lexi was born in Racine on February 7, 1999 to Rudy A. Brandies and Morningstar Lopez. Survivors include her father, Rudy (Kelly) Brandies; mother, Morningstar (Vydal Vargas, Jr.) Lopez; step-father, Jesse Marquez, Sr., paternal grandparents, Wallace and Susie Brandies, and Diane Sosa; maternal grandparents, Jesus and Cindy Lopez; brothers and sisters, Tyler, Izaak, Nico, Izabela, Autumn, Imani, Bailey, Jesse, Jr., Elycio and Summer; aunts and uncles, Rosa Lopez, Destiny Lopez, Jesse Sosa-Leffew, Jessica Brandies, Crystal Leffew, T.J. Leffew, Isaac Brandies, Samuel Leffew, Gabriel Brandies and, David Brandies; and special friends, Kaitlin Hutchinson. Lexi is also survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dakota Lopez. Funeral services for Lexi will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Gehne officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
