Racine- Albert Paragamian, 88, passed away at Froedtert Hospital on Thursday, March 10, 2011.Al was born in Racine on October 11, 1922 to Vahan and Satenig (nee: Halapian) Paragamian. He served in the United States Army during WWII in Germany and France as an airplane spotter ahead of the front lines. Al married Ottillie Hansch in Racine on December 28, 1963. He was a member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and Racine Pigeon Club.Al is survived by his wife Tillie Paragamian; daughter and son in law, Debbie and Gary Stelzer; grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob and Shelby Stelzer; brother, Perry (Patricia) Paragamian; sister in law, Jo Paragamian; and nieces and nephews, Christine (Jon) Pappas, Terrie (Todd) Larson, Lisa (Jim) Mahnke, Brian (Jodi) Paragamian, Vaughn (Beth) Paragamian and Joy Paragamian. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Al was preceded in death by an infant son, David, his parents and brothers, Louis and Sam Paragamian.Funeral services for Al will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Yeprem Kelegian. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church have been suggested.
